We know that is an odd title for a news post but we just wanted to grab your attention. We do offer car service in Fair Haven NJ but we also enjoy talking about Fair Haven’s home town ambience and diversity.
This is such a beautiful community. One of the things we find so appealing about it is that, while affluence is clearly a part of life there, this is a community built on diversity and home town values. This town doesn’t even have school buses! We think it is wonderful that most of Fair Haven’s children walk or ride their bikes to school. Of course, we are sure there are the carpools and other modes of transportation during the winter months.
The heritage of this community is closely linked to the Navesink River. This town was home to a free black community before the civil war.
Unlike other affluent townships, this town is more about community than mega mansions.
A wonderful example of this town’s focus on community is the annual Fireman’s Fair during the last weekend of summer including Labor Day weekend. The fair attracts a couple of thousand people, including noted musicians Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi. The Fair Haven Fireman’s Fair also has a Fireman’s night and invites all firefighters from any other firehouse to come and join in the festivities!.
